In order to succeed as a raiding guild we need to understand each other’s expectations, this a list of the detail we need to pay attention to. Because no-one can raid alone, and if we are to be a good team, then we must do our best to be capable members of this team. Every member is expected have a good understanding of game mechanics and an in-depth knowledge of their character’s class. Read about your class and make sure you are doing the best as possible.
Listed below are expectations, simple requirements if you like, that all members should abide by.
1. Gear: Gear is not a problem, a basic requisite is to understand what gear is enough for the undertaken instance, if you show up with anything less the gear becomes a problem.
2. Gear Care: This is a big problem, all gear should be gemmed and enchanted as best as possible at all times, anything less is not acceptable for raids.
3. Reputation: All members should have their appropriate reputation to the needed level as a minimum for head and shoulder enchants, ie. both a warrior tank and a hunters must have Sons of Hodir exalted for shoulder enchants, where as the hunter needs Ebon Blade revered, for his head enchant, a warrior tank needs Argent Crusade reputation revered for their arcanum.
4. Attitude: This is a game, some of us play it to relax, some of us are stressed from real life already and please act suitably. Do not think everything you write will be understood the way you meant it. We have all seen where even the smallest misunderstanding can lead. Rise above things, and please try to hear people like they are your friends, because that what guildies are.
5. Loot Priority: Loot priority will now be based on EPGP (Effort Points Gear Points) system. This is a fair system that rewards those who contribute to the guild, to the raid and those who are in need. Since not contributing should not be an option and need is always before greed. This system certainly works to everyone’s advantage.
6. Raid Attendance and Behavior:
a. A good raiding guild expects 75% attendance from their members; great ones encourage 100%. Let’s be good first, and then we can push for great. However, failure to show up for signed up events, will result in deduction of effort points.
b. There will now be two 10 men events most night of which one will be on sign up basis, the other by invite. Failure to show up for accepted events will result in deduction of effort points. Everyone is expected to stay for the whole duration of the raid, which is a standard 3 hours, unless announced otherwise prior to the day of the event.
c. Everyone is expected to show up 15 minutes before the event on raid nights. Failure to show up at least 5 minute before the event will result in being replaced.
d. Respect your guildies, and always listen to your raid leader and officers, comply with anything that they may ask from you, they responsible for the smoothing running of a raid. If the raid leader calls for quite on Ventrilo, always cooperate. If you see the tactic that the raid leader decided to use is not working, tell about your problems, but don’t try to change that tactic on your own. On the go 10/25 men tactics planning usually leads to massive chaos and fail.
e. Please understand there needs to be class or performance balance on some raids, you may be taken out and replaced if need occurs, this will never effect your attendance in a bad way.
7. Fight Night:
a. Combat: Show up knowing the tactics, watching a video does not suffice, everyone must read general information about tactcis, bosses and their abilities and own class/role strategy before the raid. If you do not know the tactics you may be replaced with someone who does. During raids any concerns on tactics should be discussed on Ventrillo or /w to raid leader.
b. Non-Combat: All raiders are responsible for their own buff food and flasks. Failing to show up without food and flask consistently will result in being not invited to harder events. Rezzing, buffs, healthstones, etc. should be sorted as quickly as possible.
8. Guild Tasks: Everyone is responsible for the well being of the guild in financial terms. Please look up weekly and monthly needs list on the forums and contribute to the guild a best as you can. This maybe a recepie required, maybe specific mats, and rarely gold. Helping the guild will get you more Effort Points.
9. Specs: Order of The Eclipse may require you to take a certain talent points for the benefit of the raid. If you are a raider you may be asked to change your spec as needed. This change of course is minimal, for example there should not be two markman hunters with “trueshot aura” in a raid, if there are two marksmen, one may be asked need to get “improved hunter’s mark” to boost dps.
10. Add-ons: All raiders are expected to have DBM, Omen, and Ventrilo (mic optional for non-officers) installed. Healer should use Grid, Healbot or a similar system.
Now, less Q.Q more pew pew!
